Vodafone to compete with Google?
at least on mobile mapping side! ![]()

Vodafone announced yesterday the availability of Mobile Earth. Basically, it’s a competitor to GoogleLocal , developped by LocationNet. 400 000 points of interests are available.
The question is how this paying effort will compete with Google Local. I guess most of the revenues from Google Local will come from advertising and sponsored results from searching.
As you know, there are still free alternatives, like J2memap!
